Yes, Self-doubt can result in over-analyzing. Yes, Self-doubt can foster hesitation and internal anxiety. Nevertheless, Self-doubt can also cultivate a level of honesty within oneself.
There exists a form of humility present in the turbulent INFJ. He/she does not presume to know it all. He/she questions his/her motivations.
He/she reflects upon his/her actions and the potential effects upon others. He/she frequently revisits previous decisions not due to a desire to suffer, but because he/she cares greatly about achieving accuracy.
This can ultimately evolve into perfectionism. This can become excessive stress and burnout. However, when perfected, it evolves into discernment.
I believe this is where many turbulent INFJs possess hidden fortitude. They may not appear bold in an obvious manner; however, they are likely conducting intense interior work that no one observes.
They are determining which emotional state corresponds to whom. They are reflecting upon memories. They are assessing responsibility.
They are attempting to operate in accordance with their genuine selves. That is not fragility; that is interior work.
How Turbulent INFJs Handle Conflict, Love, and Boundaries #
Generally speaking, an INFJ-T fears conflict, not because they are cowardly; instead, they fear it because conflict typically creates a rift in interpersonal connections and thus creates feelings of relational disruption.
For this reason alone, they may fall silent. They may remove themselves from the situation.
They may seek to comprehend the intentions of the other individual before comprehending their own intentions. From an exterior perspective, this behavior may resemble passivity; however, a great deal of activity occurs below the surface.
Within interpersonal relationships, this same paradigm manifests as depth, idealism, and yearning for profound emotional interconnectiveness.
Many infj-t’s prefer substantial relationships rather than superficial ones. They wish to engage in meaningful dialogue with another individual rather than simply coordinating schedules together.
Yet this propensity can also cause them to remain in scenarios where they feel misinterpreted longer than necessary, because they continue to hope that the relationship can be restored.
For this reason alone, establishing clear boundaries is critical for turbulent INFJs.
Establishing Boundaries prevents empathizing becoming Self-abandonment; whereas having established Boundaries allows sensitivity to become deep loving action.
